Length and Type Varies to Audience
As long as I can remember I have had a passion to
teach, and have done so in a wide variety of settings from one-on-one sessions
to hundreds of people. The emphasis of my teaching is first about
transformational living; wanting people to grasp that they are deeply valued
and their personal greatness is within them. The second emphasis is about
leadership; wanting people to understand that every person is a leader who
brings a significant amount of influence to any given situation.
The Choice of
Transformational Leadership
Driven to Serve
“People will freely respond only to individuals
who are chosen as leaders because they are proven and trusted as servants.”
Robert K
Greenleaf, Servant Leadership
Servant leadership isn’t just a fad or an empty leadership phrase. Successful
authors and business advocates like Ken Blanchard, Stephen Covey, and Peter M.
Senge have been echoing servant leadership principles for decades. This is the
defining difference between people of influence in any organization; who we
are is more important than what we do.
Behind the Curtain of Customer
Service
The Payoff of Being Vulnerable
“Naked service requires the provider to be vulnerable – to embrace uncommon
levels of humility, selflessness, and transparency for the good of
the client.”
Patrick Lencioni,
Getting Naked
For any organization in the
people business – meaning every one – the level of customer service is based on
the quality of people who offer the service. Therefore, it is critical for
every employee to address what happens long before they interacts with a customer
because customers can sense fake.
Our
business has developed a sense of unity since our visit with
Mark. His easy going warmth and ability to make everyone feel
important is why, I believe, my staff was more engaged in the
presentation than I have ever seen before. It has been a
blessing to see a group of women be able to be "on the same
page" about personality differences and
accept the possibility that everything isn't always about
"them"! What we all learned at the meeting has actually stayed
with us and has opened the communication I have always worked
towards with my team. I look forward to future
presentations with Mark!
